Welcome to Camino Tips

This site was created to cover some basic questions that come up frequently on the American Pilgrims on the Camino Facebook group.  This is a free WordPress site and has no referral links and generates no revenue. I’ll try to cover the questions that I have answered repeatedly over the last few years with accurate information and websites for further exploration.  This page was set up primarily to give Pilgrims on the Camino practical logistical information, and to offer background for why specific ideas make sense.  Many of the techniques presented here will work well with any kind of travel.  Obviously, not everything suggested will be right for you, but at least it will give you some ideas.  Here is my page on how to handle money on the camino:  Money   and here is a page about Travel Insurance.  How to use your cell phone without paying a fortune in roaming charges is covered here:  Cell Phones and Tech  For those of you who already realize you need a fully functioning cell phone and the best way to do it is to get a local Sim card here’s a tips and tricks page. Orange Holiday SIM Tips. Now that ESims are more common, here is what you should know: ESims: What you should know! Getting to Saint Jean Pied de Port is here: Getting to Saint Jean Pied de Port.

And of course I can’t resist some favorite Recommended Gear
